T8: Being from the bay, I gotta know what your favorite food spot is out there?

P-LO: If you wanna nice like, real ass, buss-down-dinner.. Like a lil’ candle lit or whatever.. HIT DEAD FISH AND CROCKET. Get the prime riiibbb, you feel me? They really do it up!

47M: Speaking of food, is there a significance to why we’re specifically at this spot now. (Dollar Hits in LA)

P-LO: Dollar Hits is a Filipino restaurant. I’m filipino.. There’s also a lil’ filipino barbecue vibe out here as well! You basically go in there, grab some skewers or whatever and then you pop out over here and you cook em’ up, you know what I’m sayin?

47M: Whats your favorite plate?

P-LO: I usually fuck with the chicken skewers, the pork skewers… they got like GIZZARDS and all that other shit but like that’s a lil’ exotic for me.. you know what I’m sayin? That’s a lil’ exotic for my liking.

T8: Whats the craziest shit you’ve ate?

(pause)

P-LO: WHA- I MEANN.. AH—AH.. I COULD GET THERE.. but just like I’m not really fuckin wit intestines and all that shit. BUGS too. I ain’t fuckin’ wit no bugs and shit!

47M: Stunna.. The album..

P-LO: Yeah! Stunna out!

47M: Whats the biggest artist hurdle you’ve faced while making this project?

P-LO: I mean SHITTTT.. Like, shit! Life. Life, you know what I’m sayin’? Like, I haven’t dropped an album since 2019 so like 2019 up until now everybody went through other shit. This album is about persevering and positive every and positive outlook on life.

47M: Whats Stunna?

P-LO: its just good vibes. Stunna is a frequency! Its a confidence. Its a belief. Its the unwavering faith in what you believe in. You know what im sayin? Like, so stunna could be.. YOU! Stunna could be whatever, its just a vibe, its an energy, its a mood.

T8: I wanted to go back to the roots. Whats your favorite HBK memory?

P-LO: I mean bro… that shit.. like being with those guys changed my life! Every moment was special with everyone. Especially with SU (IamSU). I’m forever in debt to him and to everyone! Kool Jon and everyone! Those are the people that gave me the confidence to do what im doing today. stunna! shouts outs to everybody man.

T8: Wanted to say thank you for the interview man, congrats on stunna, and wanted to let you know, damn near 9 years ago y’all (HBK Gang) used to sneak me into the front of your shows so I could take pictures at 14 years old. Those were my first photos ever. Thank you for the support early on and you forreal started something there.
