ASSPIZZA on Starting his own shoe brand, 730 Footwear.

AUSTIN: “What’s up? My name is Austin Babbit. We are here in Los Angeles, CA on Fairfax classic LA street. We are doing the pop-up here tomorrow. It will be the first time these shits (730 shoes) are hitting the public. I got a lot of things planned for these shoes. BIG BIG BIG things coming. This is just the first little thing. Basically I am starting a new shoe brand, not a new shoe brand but just a shoe brand that is separate from my other shit. It is just strictly going to be shoes and footwear and stuff, socks, shirts, accessories. Just something that I could you know.. Because a lot of my stuff was like 1 of 1, custom, this is something that I could uh– I am still going to implement the 1 of 1 shit which you will see by the end of the year in December, we got some shit coming. But yeah, it is just a separate thing, a whole new thing and I am very excited. I am going to revive sneaker culture, you know? Camping out all night is what is fun about sneakers and you can’t do that anymore so.. you’ll see this will be the real sneaker shit. Actually rare like Nike all their rare shits they know it’s rare and they are going to make 50 million—

Austin: Anyways.. You know there is only 730 pairs and each one is numbered. I’m just trying to make it fun and collectible because collecting is what is fun about this shit. I would say I have been wanting to make these since about 2016/2017, and I finally had the money last year to start making samples and stuff. It took us about a year and a half to get the sample right, and now that it is right, well it is still taking a lot of time because of manufacturing and all this with the process, but hopefully I can just start planning ahead more and keep it going, keep it going, keep it going. Honestly if people really knew what the truth is, it is like everything is a learning process and I still have no clue what I am doing but that is really how you learn and like I have these long plans for the future and all this stuff  teaching me how to do it legitly and cleanly and beautifully in the future. So everything is just I have no clue what I am doing and I am just trying my best and it is what it is. It is all a part of the story. Just go out there and try and you’ll learn way more than researching or doing anything else because stuff changes everyday and you never know what is the next current thing.
